She was the daughter of Jacob Edward and Elizabeth "Betsy" Stewart Byrd. Together they raised 5 children. Woodie and Winnie are buried in the Parrish Family Cemetery in Johnston County, North Carolina.

She was the daughter of Joseph Marion and Susan Elizabeth Denning Langdon. Eddie & Ethel had 9 children, 7 of which lived into adulthood. Eddie & Ethel are buried at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Johnston County, North Carolina.

Eddie Raeford Parrish, born on 12/7/1921, is the son of Eddie Lester & Margaret Ethel Langdon Parrish and the twin brother of Joseph Rupert Parrish. On 5/17/1942, he married Macy L. Stephenson (5/13/1922 - 10/27/2002) daughter of William Lawrence and Kizzie Denning Stephenson. Together they raised three daughters. Macy is buried in Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Angier, Harnett County, North Carolina.
